Default Are we allowed to go outside to fish?

Does anyone know whether we are allowed to drive and go fishing in local water now that we have "stay at home" policy/order in NJ?

I was wondering the same thing. Can we argue it’s exercise and very much essential?

I heard NJ governor speech and it doesn't seem essential. You have to stay off the roads during all hours. He spoke about going for a walk near your house. I'm going to guess that if you are towing a boat down route 80 you may get pulled over.

I suppose if you have some local water near your house, that may be ok.

Would love to hear a definitive answer, just my opinion.

Looks like you can still enter the parks but all buildings (offices, restrooms, etc.) are shut down.

I messaged NJDFW on facebook and they came back to me telling me it's business as usual, so fishing is allowed. Stocked waters are off limits as was the original directive from the state.

Plenty of both, but MOST were families walking the hiking trails.
