Default South Branch clean water finally

Fished south of Clinton this afternoon. Good hard hits and nice fighting rainbows in fast water. No shortage of fish either. My orange foam above the butterworm scored again. The foam pieces are cut up from earplugs used on construction jobs I use to work. You can buy them anywhere tools are sold. I take a scissor and cut 1/8" to 1/4" pieces. Put them on the hook first. Then the bait. Makes a big difference. Especially for rainbows which seem to like the orange attractor.

Thats a cool trick....my son works for a landscaper and has a box of those ear plugs.....gotta love the soft purr of a two cycle engine on a 10 year old trimmer......finally I get to "borrow" his tools!
