Bry's Marina
I have kept my 22' cc on a trailer in the AHMM for the past several years. I am pleased with the marina and the like, but I rarely ever fish north of the SH Reef. After some searching, I found Bry's Marina, which appears to offer similar docking (on trailer in a fenced in parking spot). I have not yet had the chance to drive down and take a look at Bry's, but was hoping that someone could share their experience and also if they can compare Bry's to AHMM. Thanks.

Re: Bry's Marina
I was there for 2 years , never had any issues , ramp has rough drop off but more than manageable. I left this year because it was pretty crowded when the public ramp was under construction

Re: Bry's Marina
Bry's ramp is typically chained shut- so need key as it was unattended.
Bry's is DRASTICALLY narrower. AHMM you probably launch 5 boats on the ramp simultaneously. Bry's a a tight two. Realistically one at a time. Downside I found in SR - is that the river sucks to fish in when the weather gets snotty and getting Oceanside is dicey. I was running a 25' Grady with twin 200hp's. Does not happen too often. But lean pickens when stuck in that River. I was docked down Shark River Hills and AP's And that's a tough Inlet in easterly winds. Especially with an outgoing tide.

Re: Bry's Marina
I have one of those spots your talking about at hoffmans next to brys, 20' boat 360 for six months, very convenient, just hate those locust trees when their crap is flying all over, I do recommend four wheel drive at low tide, and you MUST know where the end of the ramp is! Other than that, pull it out , wash it down and park it. We don't even have lights on our trailer yet...

Re: Bry's Marina
Thanks for the replys guys.
Capt. Frank - When I spoke to the marina on the phone they said you get your own key so access shouldn't be a problem. Currently, I only fish the ocean, so if that isn't fishable I don't go (even in the bay). dfish28 - Does Hoffmans offer the same setup and is the ramp accessable at all tides? The price you quoted is a lot cheaper than I am currently paying, so I am very interested. |

Re: Bry's Marina
That price is for 20' boat yours will be a tad more, but you do also
Separately have to purchase a ramp pass seasonally or daily from brys- they are a separate entity, I'll shoot ya the number later , what was brys charge anyway? |
