Default RIP Mark Boriek

I was just informed that my friend Mark Boriek passed away this past Friday due to complications with both cancer and diabetes.
I have known and fished with Mark for over 30 years. He was a dedicated steward of the environment and fresh water fisheries.
As many of you know Mark headed up the Delaware shad fishery management for an extended period of time.
God speed and tight lines Mark

Sad news. I didn't know him personally but I had several discussions with him about NJ fisheries. Very knowledgeable and down-to-earth guy.

RIP Mark.

Very sad news, as I knew him and spoke with him several times before he retired. He was coworker with my lady at F&W, and was her good friend. RIP

Im sorry for your loss, sonic. I wish I got to know him better other than just online here. There were countless moments where his Fisheries knowledge and experience added to the quality of this forum. I appreciated him a lot. RIP Mark B

Unhappy Re: RIP Mark Boriek

I chatted with Mark B. a few times during the F&W open houses. Sad to lose Mark, I liked his fishing reports and he was always spot on when it came to fisheries management questions. He will be missed here.

Sucks to hear. Never got to meet him either but definitely enjoyed the knowledge and feedback he'd provide on these pages. My condolences to his family & friends. He will definitely be missed by his brothers here in NJF!
