Default Spinning setup

I know baitcaster is the way to go for most when jigging for LM and SM bass, but does anyone use a spinning combo when fishing jig n pig? Thanks

IMO a bait caster is better , the line payoff is straighter and allows the jig to fall straight down . And allows instant feel to the jig .
Line coils from the spinning reel pay out don’t allow the same feel

I've used spinning gear to throw lighter jigs (1/8 or 1/16 ounce). A medium spinning rod is enough for those. Anything larger and I would stick with baitcasting gear.
