Not so great blackfish opener

Fished with my friend Roy and a couple other guys out of the Highlands. Started the day with a couple of short stripers around the hook but these fish were moving fast and disappeared within 5 minutes.

Anchored down south and started with a slow blackfish bite and mostly shorts. Pretty much was the same thing for us all day. Even when we tried some deeper water it was 90% shorts. We ended the day with just 5 keepers and nothing of any size either. A couple of nice seabass too. Stayed out til around 4:30 too. Hoped for some bass on the way in but luck was not on our side.
