A few days ago went to check out access points along the Passaic around Twin Bridges. What I saw, made me quite upset. Seemed to be 2 truck loads worth of beer and soda cans plus other garbage dumped there. Don't know how recent this situation is, but I doubdt it was caused by a few carp fishermen casually drinking. I have photos, but I think if I post them, a few of you will be quite upset w it just like I was. I was wondering if the State is responsible for cleanup. There are a few thousand cans that can be redeemed for a nickel each after all.

.
It's things like that that get our parking lots shut down. 1000's of bottles is an unusual thing to dump. Maybe some kids did it after a massive house party. Usually the trash is appliances and random debris leftover from home-improvement work. .

The thing that gets me is almost every town has a recycling center. If you are going to take the time, energy and risk to illegally dump stuff, why not just bring it to the recycling center?
