To each his own...I know plenty of people that do it but in my world big blackfish and light tackle just do not belong in the same sentence.

I for one have had some of my best togginn with Tommy with 20 lb test in less than 40 ft of water. Limited a few times by 9am when the regs were 8 at 14in. Great fun and always gave away plenty of sinkers. Would sign up for that any day of the week. Let me know when Tommy. You have my number.

For anyone who is interested in setting up for light tackle tog, I use two setups, both with a Shimano Stradic 1000FH paired with either a G Loomis SJR722/6' medium fast action or St. Croix AVID/AS60MF, line weight for both are 6-12 lbs., lure weight up to 5/8 oz., and braid as light as you feel comfortable using.
