Buoys are noted on old charts , simple to check & obtain coordinates . any chart with Loran A or earlier, prior to GPS will show where buoys ,towers etc were located.

Capt Lou, I realize the old charts will show them, and I know the mud Bouy was moved apparently . But the BA Bouy is now where to be found... Was it moved also?

The BA to my knowledge is gone! It was located due east of 17 or about 10 mi SE of Ambrose horn , that's gone as well .
It was a significant tuna area since it marked the beginning of the deep ! In the 60&70's all size tuna caught in this area, that's over too for the most part! |

Thanks for the info..think I'll avoid the crowd and try some snags further south..
