Got out for a few hours sunday morning to fish and test out sum new humminbird software updates Ive been playing with. Got to the dock before 6am and I love the fact its still kinda dark out now, I love daybreak on the water. Made a run to Dows for bait and ran to the NW end of the lake to check some usual spots on points. I played w the side imaging settings on the new software and luckily ran over a pile of fish while slow scanning some usual areas. Setup the rods and had my first schoolie on in minutes. Nothing big but decent 3-4 pound fish and they kinda hung around for a while still biting. I pulled a nice big crappie up in between and 2 small catfish, I been catching alot of them this year, and up higher in the water column too, kinda surprises me still. Anyway the bite slowed by 8ish so I trolled for a half hour playing with settings but came up with nothing, back home by 9am. Gorgeous morning on the water and it stayed quiet the whole time out there, Im REALLY looking forward to fall on LH. The yahoos are already headed home, now if the water will just stay up for a while. All photos are with the new gopro, I forgot I had it with me til I opened the glovebox to retie a leader and then I set it up and played with locations and settings. Pics to prove it happened......
