If I had off Id be hitting it every morning, there was NOBODY out there, like glass all morning, I didnt wanna leave. They are still getting them at night, just not all topwater bites now, u can find schools and stay on them fishing herring they come up a little higher at night and still some topwater bites on eyes and wipers, just no bait working now really.

Mitch I woulda called u to come up but I new I coudnt stay out long and my main mission was getting WOT run numbers, wasnt even rly planning on fishing til my sonar lit up and I always got some rods in the rod locker Next week Im gonna play a half day of hookie Ill def get u on some nice stripers

Thanks Jimmy...I appreciate thinking of me.....LMK when you want to go....with no work in the near future I'm good for the most part....Thanks

When you say you saw a school feeding, you mean in sonar, or breaking surface? Any image of what that looks like on sonar?

There were a couple gulls that swooped down in the distance and that means business on LH, so I marked the shoreline by eye and boogied down there and sidescanned to find the bait ball and see whats on it. Once found I use 2D sonar from above, and when theres fish right on the bait ball esp below it they are feeding. Marked the spot w GPS go get bait and come back and whack em, they dont usually go to far, Ive found them in the same exact spot on occasions like this for days even week straight. This time of year on LH u can either fish a spot u like and wait n bait them out, OR find the bait and usually u found some wipers. I prefer to find the bait and fish, its easier IMO, I cant sit in one spot w a blank screen

Ill start takin some pics of what the sonar images look like for u guys that are interested
