San Diego has some great fishing opportunities. I have fished there for yellow tail and giant squid, as well as rock bass and calico bass, but they offer some great long range trips for tuna and all the usual Pacific Sportfish. I'd hit one of those long range trips out of San Diego. Tons of boats to choose from and lots of species to fish for in one trip.

Never been on a long range, but I have fished in San Diego on 24-30 hour trips for yellowtail, tuna etc.
