Default PA opener

Cold in AM fishing very slow for me ! Managed 4 for a long day and 2 streams !
All bows to 12” maybe 2 more hits but overall I struggled all day !
Many anglers out an about tough to get to some decent water , so have to make up for it this week !
Last 2 days in NJ 20 fish days common my home state threw me a curve !

I hit the Broadhead, not as many people as I expected. I was able to walk away and find water to fish without anyone in sight. It was cold though, I had to keep dipping my rod to de-ice the guides. Managed 4 rainbows, 1 about 15'. The fish were very podded up, at one point I saw 20+ stockies intermingled underneath a fallen tree. The cold snap really turned them off I think.

I know quite a few guys that took the kids out last week for the kids opener. They crushed em. One of my buddys has two boys and each of those kids got a monster alien golden each. Good luck rest of the season Lou

At least you got some to nibble Lou.

Went for first time ever and had one hit all day. Nothing else to show for it.
Lots of ppl were out and pretty much all with same results as me.
Only thing that was working pink trout magnet (which of course i didnt have)from what i have seen. Threw everything i had in tackle box (grubbs, eggs, waxies, spinners, rooster tails) Not even a sniff.

Oh well there is always next time and more places to explore.

Andre

Cold front and some snow really pushed the fish to lay low. This week looks phenomenal for all that can get out. Get em’ Lou!
