Lightbulb Raritan river 1/11/17:

Looking around South Bound Brook trying to "sea" if anything was around. not a sniff. Picked up one of those nice CD5 Rapalas, 1st cast snagged, gone. Back to jigs it is !!

Hey Andy, sorry to hear.
If it makes you feel any better I drove an hour to pequest for like the 3rd time without anything. Drive back is always the worse part, although hot dog jonnys helps.
That first and 2nd pick is where there are a bunch of weeds sticking up in some deeper depths if you go down stream a bit more. I just remember that from my last visit there- snagged there and made it my final cast of the day.

Under the queens bridge seemed promising too, some rocks sort of dam the stream a bit and make some pools around there.

There are some nice holes at both spots. I keep thinking about the skinny water up in NY on the West Branch that I pulled fish out of. We cleaned through both spots pretty well, but yes, there are still a few snags here and there.

All I can say is WOW, I cant imagine why you would get hung up in those waters...LOL All kidding aside, that's not funny at all, very sad to see all that dumped in the river. Thank god we have people like you to help clean it up. Thank you for the clean up, and your time you put in to do it.
