Yesterday, we electrofished @ Elmwood Park: Saw what looked 2 N. Pike but they evaded capture, Carp, Yellow Perch, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Sunfish, White Suckers, Black Crappies, Angelfish (a NJ first for me).
can the public get access to the data and is there any video?

a little off topic but...

makes me think of the time i sent an email asking if anglers could have access to the skillful angler data submitted for the year (not just the top fish for the year)...

couldn't be that much extra work for the person processing the submissions to just throw the species, size, and location into a table on the website could it? seems like very valuable information not being put to much use.

No Video.

I will be writing it up this winter (I forgot to include Brown Bullheads @ all sites & 1 Channel Catfish approx. 6 lbs. @ Florham Park).

Not looking for spots, but how far down river does one encounter freshwater species? I know LMB are pretty salt tolerant. Is there much salt content as far North as Rutherford when the water levels are low? Thx

You need a Freshwater License if you fish above The Freshwater License Line: Erie Railroad bridge between Newark (at Verona Ave.) and Kearny.

Of course the actual freshwater line varies with rain & tides.

Once I got a report of a N. Pike catch @ Lyndhurst.

This year, due to the lack of rain, an angler reported a bunker school @ the base of Dundee Dam, Garfield.

Thanks for the post. With all the pike being stocked into the Passaic I wish there were more access to the river, but I also understand the folks who knows where to catch them don't want more access... lol Feel the same for SR and hope the ramp never goes up
