Default What would you do

Went to the boat Saturday early to put extra lines on for the storm and stow all loose items, I found the guy next slip over had tied his line to mine on my tide minders? The one rule is you never mess with someones line unless there is a problem. I told the marina and they did nothing.
What would you do?

Ask the other guy why he did that? It's a shared pile too? Can he put a stuffed car tire over your on that shared pile as his own "tide minder"?

He may think the tide minders are marina property to share and not yours.

He's tied up next to you, you ever talk to him?

You should ask the marina to call him to move his lines with a deadline or you will move them for him

I did not cut the lines, I never see the guy next to me. This was the first time in 3 weeks I made it to the boat. We lost our son to cancer Aug 10th after fighting it for 2 1/2 years. He was able to make it fishing 1 time this year and I will always see him on the deck.
So to say the lest, I am angry and glad I did not see the guy.
