Default Paulinskill river

I got out at sun up this morning before the heat got unbearable. My back is starting to get better Im still doing majority of my fishing from a chair but pain is no where near as bad. Im always amazed by the amount of smallmouths in this river. Most are 12 inch or smaller but I always get at least 1 16 inch or bigger. Plus a 12 inch smallmouth on a ultralight is a real thrill. Also there are some pretty big bluegills and they are always fun.

Always thought about fishing an ultra light exploring that river but just never did. Sounds like fun though. I heard there is good carp fishing in it too?

It's much more of a challenge then watching a screen on a boat!
More fun too.

Way to go man! I admire your dedication! Sounds like you'll be back to normal pretty soon! I love how the Trout streams turn into Trout and Smallie streams this time of year! Everything comes out of hiding!

Question Re: Paulinskill river

Not to spot burn but near what town ? I rarely make it over there, how was the clarity of the water ? Is it trashed like most NJ rivers ? Thanks.
