Since I had the week off work, I decided on Thursday night to take the trip to the Schuylkill River to do a little flathead catfishing. The fishing was a little on the slow side, and I ended up hooking two fish. After a short fight, the hooks pulled on the first fish. I landed the second flathead, which ended up being a long, skinny fish which was released after a couple of pics.

Yep they are spawning right now which makes catching them extremely tough. Should pick back up in august

The hook just came out. Felt like a similar size to the one I caught.
