Fished around the Rte 202 bridge for an hour. Only one lady fishing there. It's the day after stocking and no one shows up. Go figure.
I caught five small trout and a 18' eel which released itself. Thank God. I hate handling the slimy swirmy things. The fishing was slow. It didn't seem there was a lot of fish there as I only got a few bites on butterworms. Maybe the new rain that's coming will change the bite. |

Which Rt. 202 Bridge did you fish? (rhetorical question) There are three of them. The fishing should still be good at the one on the Far Hills/Bedminster border. Thanks for the report.

I hate catching eels as well. Question how to you release them successfully. I tend to always have to cut the line rather then try to get the hook out. I know this isnt good but i have killed more trying to unhook them. Any tips
