Fish Monger II Fri 12/12 Blackfish to 14.6lbs - Well finally back out after all the weather. Was hoping it settled down enough for them to bite good again but wasn't the case for us or most I talked to. Opted for the deeper water but only a handful of fish everywhere ya went. One spot had some real pigs on it but getting them up was tough. Broke 4 slobs off but we did manage to get one giant up...our second teen size fish of the season! Dans PA Beer Man's Monster n personal best at a 14.6 lbs... besides that life was pretty dull. Had one other fish around 9lbs another 7 1/2 but not nearly enough and never a steafy bite So hopefully tomorrow s the day the chew hard again. Thanks again guys

Got my favorite praise from Capt Jerry today, "I'm proud of ya BeerGuy" after that slob hit the deck.
 For some reason, even when the fishing is slow like it was today, I still love fishing on this boat. John the mate is top rate and Captain Jerry catches fish with the best of them without looking like he's trying. My Bogan custom tile rod did a nice job playing this fish. After the hookset and a few cranks to get it away from the bottom, I just let the rod do the rest. Thanks Jerry and John for coaching me in my quest for a PB. Going to be tough to break this mark.
