As most of you know, I live very close to the Delaware River in Easton. I've never fished FW this time of year but i have the bug. What things should I be looking for when reading the water this early and what baits/methods work well at this time of year?

Go deep and go slow. Fish bait if you have the patience. If there are any areas where warmer water is entering the main river, focus on those areas as well.

Got this in the Easton area in January a few years ago. Lard nailed it, I was just chucking big stuff in hopes of a toothy critter.
