Default Big D Flatheads

Decided to try the big D for smallies today but that quickly changed into catfishin, fished a deep run that fasteddie told me about.Managed 3 cats and 1 smallie on worms and missed quit a few more good runoffs.Got my biggest flathead to date at just over 10lbs,along with a 2 others in 3lb range. All catfish kept for the fryer.

Invasive...YES
Evasive...Well maybe

Nice catch and those very large baits will attract the larger fish. Have personally caught them to > 35lbs on limb/jug lines in Ga/Tn on sunnies, so hold on

A great predator and excellent table fare

How far up river are these? I work at Portland Generating Station, and would love to try for these off our discharge tunnel. Are they up that far, and any tips? Thanks

I stand corrected by the way too smart chemist and the nanook of the north guy All fish are evasive when I'm involved, although I can catch fish on worms

This link from 2009 sez it all.
They are right up there with snake heads.
