Went out in the canoe on Splitrock today before the rains came. Thanks to the trolling motor, we made our way around pretty easily. After not being able to locate the fish, we trolled with a white crankbait which netted my buddy a decent Largemouth. About 5 minutes later, I got into a pissed off Smallie who gave me a hell of a fight from beginning to end. He was caught on a pink worm texas rigged. Rains came and we bailed.

Lotsa hungry phish in there, and it's no secret. Heck it's been in the Fisherman magazine and I read reports from there on other sites, and they call it by name.
I gotta ask my usual questions, crowded ?? Litter, clean ??? Thanx for the report ! |

This was my first time exploring the back section and first big fish I've caught there. Trying to put together a pattern because the place is amazingly beautiful and I plan on putting some time in there.
Place was packed yet clean.
