2/4/24 Nibbles galore

First couple ponds were so dead i thought I was with Fin-S & Joey Z in Belmar. Tried a few spillways as well with nada to show so we ran into the jersey devils lair & played with some wayalusing wahoo and Devon got the 1st bass of the year. After the sun warmed up the lakes a bit we were lucky enough to find the honey hole with sacalait, perch, strigoi, & bluegills. Was so good I was catching em on the vince rig! Felt good to bend the ultralight again. For what it's worth the fish wanted live bait, got a few slimers on artificial but everything else would ignore an artificial then ya put on a minnow & float vanishes as soon as it hits the water.

There it is. Some good action all around! Things are warming up a little bit!!!

Way to stick it out and find them. Good job Joe. Did any of those crappie win a one way trip to philly?

thoughts crossed me to keep a couple especially the perch but these ponds/lakes are so heavily pressured i always release....plus these aint from mountain streeams there was a homeless dude pi$$Ing by the spillway at 1 point ahha
