There were plenty of readings today along the bottom and up mid-water but the BLUEFISH did not want to cooperate. We had a few BLUES up to 6 lbs. on a couple of drifts. We picked away at the SEA BASS and FLUKE with an occasional BLUEFISH mixed in.

We will be back out there tomorrow morning. See you then.

OUR NEXT 16 - 18 HOUR SPECIAL EXOTICS TRIP DEPARTS MONDAY NIGHT, AUGUST 15TH AND WE HAVE SPOTS OPEN! We will be targeting BLUEFIN TUNA as well as MAHI, ALBIES & BONITO. On these trips, a rod & reel set up that has a 60 to 80 lb test line & that is “jigging capable” is the preferred type of equipment. You should also have a spinning rod & reel with a 20 to 30 lb monofilament line for the Mahi, Albies & Bonito. We primarily use “slow pitch” lures for the BLUEFIN but we have bait on board for the times the fish want it. If you don't have any gear, you can rent it from us. Generally, these trips fish between 40 and 60 miles offshore. Make your reservations and come join us on this exciting trip.
