Was looking for a hot Bass bite...NO GO
Started throwing a spinner bait and BIBLICAL pickerel; continued and caught a few pickerel and then started to fish what was left of the lilly pads and must have caught at least 20 of these guys, small pike to 15 inches. Guess this years stocking? Hard hitting and lots of action so not so bad. Caught a few yellow perch, bluegill, and crappie to finish the day. Not bad for first day fishing since getting back from Japan.![]() |

agree. From the picture quality cant tell the pattern, but the body shape and color it looks like a chain.

northern pike do not have a vertical black line under their eye, that's the easiest way to tell them apart from pickerel; only pickerel and their hybrids have that black eye line. that being said, a lot of people use the term pike for all esox haha
