msgdan, i don't have the stuff to make the rubber skirts/tails, but honestly if i was you, i'd buy a bulk pack of the skirts ready to go. or just stick a big grub on the hook and use it as is with no skirt. I've done that in certain situations and something a little different might make a difference on a high pressure area!

jigman, i can do 2,3,4,5,6,and 8oz like those. those don't have free swinging hooks, but i've been wanting to try to make them like that...in my head it will work how i'm thinking of doing it, but i haven't tried it yet...you know what i'm going to try it when i get home today, i'll let you know how it goes!

Thanks guys. I may have had success making a free swinging hook version, but I guess I won't know till I hook a fluke with it haha.

Let's see it!

And those flies would make for great teasers for cod and fluke if tied on 4/0 & 5/0 hooks...

I have to paint it and dig through my stuff to find a hook for it, I might not have a perfect size but I'm sure I have something that will work. Never caught cod but I've def thought of using the flies as teasers for fluke haha.

They're comparable to fighting walleye...but in 120+ft of water, with a tide, and they can reach 50+ lbs!
