Can't argue with that recipe....it works

But I will say that there seems to be a difference in the taste of
early season bluefish... like now... vs late season bluefish...like October.

The late season fish of the same relative size (not talking about monsters here but the 2-3lber or so) seem much more "fishy/oily" in flavor.

That all said, the above recipe (grilling) works and tastes great. For late season fish, I'll clean off all dark meat and sometimes marinate, then grill on open flame (not foil) to help eliminate some of that extra fishy flavor. Doesn't matter much to me, but to those in my family it does.

tnx Capt!

No grill in the apt so broiled it and enjoyed it! my fiance gives it a 7 out of 10 even though she didn't want me to cook it for dinner, but she ate all of her serving! just goes to show everything's worth trying. this blue weighed in at 8# so i'm curious to see what the 2-3's taste like.

I'm going to have to try this one.

There are plenty of simple and easy and also complicated and hard bluefish recipes, but not too many that taste decent.

The only luck I've had with blues so far is smoking the smaller ones.
