All my years I have used #10Chestertown, never a problem and easy hook up

Stick with the octopus hooks. Thats all I use for fluke and almost never gut hook a fish.

Pick up a pair of the OWNER brand hooks .. Sharpest hook on the market as far as I have seen ... Lazer sharp,
