Default Trout avenger

This story is from a few weeks ago, but it's such a 'feel good' one, i gotta share it here too...

So i shoot over, after work, to a spot that i've been thinking about all day. I just had that feeling that it was the right area to hit for trout based on the current conditions. I was excited... as i pull in a guy is there already fly fishing right in the main hole! I could've went around him or whatever but i decided to give him the courtesy of just driving down to a different spot.

I headed down and as i'm getting my waders on and my stuff ready, that same guy pulls into the lot and gets out waders already on. So I say hey what's up I actually was just pulled into that other spot where you were but came up here rather than fish with you to give you space... thinking he'd give me the same courtesy....NOPE!

He says, oh yeah I didn't catch anything there so you can go give that a try and he walks down into the river. For the first time in my life i decided to take the high road after wondering how someone could be such a smug douche (must be the fly rod, no offense to the considerate fly guys haha) I get back in my truck and i head right back to the spot he had already fished the crap out of.

From that point on, the pictures can tell the rest of the story i only photographed some of the fish... I must've caught 12-15 rainbows ranging from small wilds to 17-18" really nice looking stockies.

I posted this story all over the internet hoping this dude would see it somewhere and come to the realization of the hack that he actually is haha keep flopping that noodle around dude, you have no clue what you're doing more fish for the rest of us

LMAO

it's always the jerkoffs that lose with fishing, and the ones that dont give up that come out with the most fun

Great Story. I think I actually did laugh out loud here at work!
Sometimes those snobby Fly guys need to be humbled by us regular fisherpeople.
Way to crush "catching" vs that guys "fishing".

I think some of them just like riding a high horse around the river wiggling a big noodle

There are A-holes who wave long rods and A-holes who wiggle short ones. They both have something in common. …..they are both A-holes. Women say the same thing when it comes to the length of a rod. A-holes come in all sizes. It’s not the length of the rod but how it’s used that matters. However, there is no excusing bad stream etiquette no matter how long your rod is.

HAHA Nice!
That's one of the best feelings, aint it? When it happens, it's like there's your proof that the 'Fish Gods' really do reward some actions and punish others.
Wise choice, man

Chris great report, great job! Awesome pics! I love flyfishing, I also love fishing lures as well. Personal preference decides on any given day but more so conditions and what your fishing for will dictate which technique might work best.

Problems happens when someone feels they're a purist in their own mind that makes them a better or more elite angler and a better person. It actually makes you a narrow minded SOB. Fish the way you wish, be respectful of others around you and don't judge others based on their choice of fishing techniques. Hope others around you do the same and if not ignore them or if necessary tell them to mind their own business and if that doesn't get your opinion across tell them to #&$! off, how you fish is none of their &$#@%*! business.
