ACABTP when is that flyer from ?
the digest use to say the same thing about not targeting them except in the Delaware it no longer says that . It now says you can’t keep any from anywhere but the Delaware. I ask because their are guys targeting them in the Raritan , and they were told as long as they are all released it is ok to fish for them . .

The only NJ freshwater that you can target shad is the Delaware River.
All others NJ freshwaters are closed. |

Guys are targeting them on the Raritan ? That I would like see !
Shad numbers are hardly robust enough for people to actually target them. |

And, most importantly,hardly robust enough to be considered a stable population. The Raritan & Paulinskill have recovering populations. That's why they are closed to fishing.
