Mad gaffer fishing report Thursday 12/20

We had a good and bad day, we didn’t catch a lot of fish but the ones we caught were jumbos, we had a few keepers , But not enough . One drop we boated over 60 fish , and kept 6 , And then we made a move off shore fished a little deeper spot , where we boated about another dozen keepers , and one fish caught by Danny Gregory , Mate on the voyager, which was his career best witch weighed 14 1/2 pounds. Pictures will follow, the fish was weighed on a boga grip scale owned by David Sherman one of our customers, the fish was Weighed with the rest of the. Passengers looking on. The reason I say this is I’ve had comments that the fish pictures that we put up that the fish were not as big as we reported .We weigh every big fish we catch Especially if they’re released,that Fish was released, we do not hold the fish 3 feet in front of us to make them look bigger , we just hold them up and take a picture . Blackfish are not very photogenic, and this fish’s girth probably exceeded its length ,we also had another fish caught by Bob kirgsten , Which was near 10 pounds and a third large fish roughly the same size which was caught by John Greely ( just about 9 pounds ) along with Danny Gregory’s big fish he also had one about 7 pounds as well, not a great day for numbers but some big fish. The next time it looks like we will be running is Sunday call for information and reservations
