I noticed there are quite a few more catch-and-release submissions than killed submissions. I wonder why that is? I would like to believe it's because skilled anglers know the value of releasing big fish to pass on their superior genetics and make other anglers happy. I hope it's not because the requirement that the fish be weighed on a certified scale causes anglers to falsely claim they released the fish when they actually didn't. .

have you noticed that the C&R requirements are typically slightly lower than the equivalent weight requirements? So in other words C&R catches should be more commonly caught for any given species. It'd be smart if they did this purposely to promote catch and release. I wish they'd do away with the weighing in all together haha.
