Really great fish !! Nice going, and yes, and amazing picture too !

I took my son in law on Monday to the river...he has gone a few times with no luck, so I blindfolded him and took him to one of my better spots.

He landed 3 pike in the first 45 minutes and added one more after that. All solid fish, except the last one, but a great trip for him as I played "guide" !!

Beautiful pike !!! Great going !

Nice fat belly on that pike! It's always that one time you forget to set the drag that you get a real nice first-cast-hit, aint it? Glad this serpent gave you a second shot.

Now that's a healthy river Gator! You can see it's nice and thick and eating well! That's a beauty! Some of be other Pike caught this year look anorexic! We got 35-37 inch Pike being caught all over and some of them are barely 7 lbs! Good one dude!!!

Very nice, healthy river pike! Definitely a very solid fish. I wouldn't worry too much about the tail slaps as long as you steer clear of the toothy end haha.

Passaic R. serpent anglers:

Last fall, we boat electrofished, accessing the river @ Columbia Turnpike, Florham Park; Camp Lane, Fairfield & Elmwood Park.

We measured & released 3 pike, no longer than 30". Missed a couple of others.

Plan to go again this fall. PM, or call me with any spots you are wiling to divulge.

The above three access points are the only ones that I know of that can accommodate our big, trailered electrofishing boat.

Thanks.

Mark
