Gone Fishing

Not much to report....

Got out to the northern tog grounds @ 10 and had a good 6 foot swell. They were spread out so not a bad run.... Got anchored up on the spot after a few adjustments and barely any life on crabs or clam..

After 4 hours with a few more adjustments, Kevin managed 3 and a few shorts and Art had one keeper. Pretty strong current running south down the beach might have had something to do with the bite being off. Thought we might do better on the change of tide but the current persisted all through slack.

Headed back to the barn and around the Naval Weapons Pier and dropped a few mojos down, trolled for an hour looking for a Striper. Didn't mark a thing on the fish finder and saw no bird life or bunker so expectations were low. No Stripers but we did however hook the first Bluefish of the season...

All in all a real nice day... Boat ran well and great to be fishing with buddies in tee shirts.
