Last year we decided to anchor up close to the beach just inside the false hook. As soon as they set foot on shore it was like the park police went into DEFCON 5. All of a sudden 2 SUVs came out of nowhere and proceeded to tell them they were not allowed in the area.... I found it pretty ironic that they were driving 2 ton SUVs on the nesting grounds to shoo off a few 100 pound girls that were endangering the Plovers  To add insult to injury, the girls went to get back in the water to wade back to the boat and were told that they couldn't because it was too dangerous because they were not wearing life jackets, in 3 feet of calm water  They ended up loading them all up into the SUVs and dropping them off at Horseshoe cove where I had to go to pick them up. Don't mess with the Plovers Rammie.... You might end up in the clink.

Great story!!! They seem to always come out of the SAND DUNES even if they are not visible. I will take your word of caution, see 'ya lalter, Robbie
