I have never heard this one before but I guess it makes sense. Anything that's not natural would probably throw off a bite whether it's noise or something else. Gotta go with captains advice on this one but personally have never heard that before

I forgot to add that I was told by an old captain that aluminum or steel boats send more noise and vibration through the hull than wooden boats. And this is a turn off for blackfish. I guess all the feet stamping around the metal deck can send noise through the water.

I used to spearfish a bit and blackfish are not even that spooked by a human swimming up to them with a speargun in hand. Just my observation. |

I believe u r correct , shallow water might deep don't believe so ! Too many fish caught om metal boats to support this theory.

![]() " He said that all the sinkers on a party boat banging the rocks causes them to shut down after sitting a while on one spot. He reasoned that a smaller boat like a six pack or private boat will always out-fish a party boat. Any comments from others on this subject?" Another winner :-) I don't usually bother but these two are doozies!!!! Last edited by Capt Joe; 01-05-2015 at 12:36 AM.. |
