Default Newton Lake + Farrington Lake 4/18

Visited my buddy and hit up Newton Lake down across the Delaware from Philly, proudly wearing my Rangers colors. Hooked something that was big enough to pull drag on my light outfit but it let go ten feet from shore. My buddy managed a 15 inch bullhead on a bit of pork fat. A bunch of bites other than that but none caught. Left around noon.

Frustrated by the one that got away I grabbed lunch and regrouped for a 2nd try at Farrington Lake. Managed my 1st bass of the year on a firetiger spinnerbait worked medium slow. About 13 inches maybe 1 1/2 lbs. Moved to a shallow spot where there's usually a weed bed and a few casts later caught the 3rd biggest bass I've caught. 19 inches 3 1/2-4 lbs give or take. Same spinnerbait same action. Only managed the two but nice to be on the board

It is a crap picture but it is a size 13 boot next to that fish but no hard feeling Larry. I'm sure there's no playoff envy going on.

Thank you kindly Eddie. Hoping bass moving into the shallows like these two means its prime time for shore fisherman like myself.
