I need some more info like what are u fishing for and how are u fishing for them? u mention a Fenwick saltwater rod, so Im assuming the salt. Personally I use a snap on 99% of the lures I throw, not a snap swivel, a snap only. I use SPRO cause they are tiny and are rated for 50lbs in the smallest size. I do this because every crankbait/stickbait made is meant to have a rapala knot tied to it, look it up. In order to not have to tie this knot over and over, the snap works perfect. Every fish I catch on a lure has a snap. Only live bait gets tied straight thru. I use floro leader on 100% of my fishing, never go without it. When using live bait I run slip weights above a swivel, then use the swivel for the leader connection. With crank/sticks I do the same minus the weight, fish are very line shy. this is all freshwater. In the salt for blues/stripers/etc I run 40-50 powerpro usually to the lure straight on again w a snap. When striper fishing I run to a swivel, and then use a palomer w a long tag and floro to a teaser then to a lure. The snap is VITAL to the action of cranks/sticks/floaters/walk baits. 20lb braid is kinda light for the salt, but is fishable. I run 10/15/20 braid in freshwater, but in salt u never know when a small shark or big blue or a killer striper is gonna nail you, I want the added leverage and strength
