cranberry lake ice report

I went to cranberry lake today and went in search of some crappies. the first spot i hit only had small perch in it. so i hit my second spot and first hole i drilled was a good one i got a nice crappie and a bunch of nice perch then the hole went dead so i moved around till i found them again. the ice was 7 " thick in most spots but the first spot by the other dam was only 5'' and not to many weeds the weeds seem to be the key to finding the crappies. i ended up getting 14 crappies, 12 perch, 8 sunnies, of course 2 slime darts, 1 nice largemouth that was 15" not a bad day for day 29 on the ice. i am planing to get to swartswood lake soon i let you know how that goes. i kept 2 of the bigger crappies they went 13" and 12" they are going to make a great stir fry tonight.
