Default Stripes, flatheads, and more stripes

After my ice fishing trips from NY, back in NJ, eddie gives me the call to join striper fishing in March.
Landed probably 7 that day, great time in the rain with eddie and friends : )

Through April, river striper fishing was good. I was a bit lower down river than usual, and I wasnt having luck upstream as much.
Until one day the flatheads were just CHEWING on jigs?? between three anglers, 9 flatheads were landed all on jigs.
this PB 33 incher on a 6 inch swimbait. Gigantic powerful headshakes!
Also a bonus Largemouth, still havent found a NJ smb this year oddly.. no complaints to get more stripers.
Some days when the water is low and calm I will get them on topwater magnum zoom flukes. Gotta sorta reel it in steady and give it flicks, and when there's a wake behind it and no commitment, can let it drop and slow sink with a few twitches. Awesome

This also worked on the hybrids. Great fun, they were up shallow and accessible from shore.
