Very Good striped bass fishing yesterday --all sizes from shorts to bonus to regular keepers to oversized fish. The fish were top to bottom, feeding on herring and peanut bunker and taking our cast spoons, shads and top-water lures.
Today was okay, saw lots of fish on the machine and, at times, on top. But the boat traffic was chaotic. The bass did not get much of a breather. Still, we did catch a decent amount, mixed size again. We are not fishing tomorrow. Weather looks kinda crummy. Our next striper trip will go on Weds. The Gambler is going to make one more canyon tuna trip, leaving Monday night at 9PM. Weather looks really good and there is a nice streak of warm water showing in the southern canyons. There is still plenty of room on the trip. 24 hours, $390, getting back Tues night. Call 732-295-7569 to save your spot or book on-line.
