Magic Hour Fluke Report 6/23

My son Jason and I hopped aboard the Misty Morn last evening for some magic hour fluke fishing. We were encouraged to learn that they had done well earlier that day. However, once we got on the grounds, conditions were horrible with verify little to no tidal current (even with a full moon) and very little wind. Thus we had very little boat movement and often we were just being spun in place. Capt. Phil worked the throttles to power drift providing us with some movement. The only good thing was with the lack of fast movement, were were able to fish light bucktails of either 1 or 1.5 ounces. I was eventually able to catch my limit, 1 short and missing two more bites. Jason also had 1 keeper.
