Got out of work and headed to the river. It’s about time it’s not flooded and over it’s banks anymore. I mean c’mon man, the stretches I fish go up 10 feet every time it drizzles. Thank god for a little dry spell! The river was perfect last night! The clarity was terrible as always and seems to be getting worse due to roadwork and other drainage projects going on. It is what it is!
Oh yeah, the Pike! They’re still right where I left em’! And no, I’m not rusty! Hooked 3, landed 3 in a rather short after work session. Nothing huge but all solid fish around 30 inches! What a fun fish to catch! They jump, they have teeth, they eat small, medium, large, x-large and jumbo baits. They pull drag! They get pissed when you land em’ or handle em’! Feels good to go back to my
