Default PB-MONSTER RAINBOW/ weekend recap.

Went threw the gear friday night and prepped for a weekend of tourneys. Fished the RVTA Saturday on a solo mission. Got set up early and worked the lake picking up a nice 4-5 lb golden early only to break off ten feet behind the boat kept on keeping on picking up the rat 12 inch stockie along the way. At about 8 am I get two boards with a fish on each.... First rod I go for I crank and skip this thing B.A.S.S. style another damn Pinner 12" er . next rod I go for thinking its the same finally get the board off the line thinking it will loose some weight.... Nope...big head shakes flying around the back of the boat I finally see the beast and its a big bow. 8 lb test crappiest rod reel set up I own and it had to hit that one!!! Get the thing to the net and land my new pb rainbow.( 24 1/2- 7 lbs 2 oz.) After that I focused on the Lakers in 70-80 fow end up getting my limit and head for the scales. Ended up right where I thought I would with a 1 St place Finish in the trout div. One down, one to go,....head back home got to that lees and splashed the mamba with steve pres of rvta and headed out for the kdc eye tourney. Worked the normal go to spots with little action finally found a few in some bright lights and put a decent eye in the boat with hopes it would place... Last week we did good this week its been tough out there on the big pond. Weighed it in this morning and got the number #3/spot with few hours left of the tourney still... Got some sleep finally and hit the local trout honey hole today for some clean fiesty bows on light tackle.
