Default Re: Lake hopatcong

I'm sorry I guess I'm not brand new we went out with a guide for my first time on Hopatcong and had a blast. Ice had to be 9 inches at least. I've also fished a local lake on mine own a few times and caught something lol. I was more concerned about the tournament. My son was out with me and my father in law on the guided trip for 6 hours with little complaints, I'm very lucky cause he really loves to fish. He did do a lot of running and sliding on the ice, had a blast we were fortunate because it was like 42 out. He and I have yak traks but I like the idea of getting him the spikes and a set for me, I also had planned on getting rope. I'm in middlesex so most often I'd have to head north to get in on the action. Thanks for all the tips!
