Default Saturday & Sunday Blackfishing report to 9lbs

After the banner day we had friday we were looking forward to saturday. started where we left them biting and had to wait a few for the first fish. It was nothing but a pick all day. Fish, no matter shorts or keepers, would come in flurries throughout the day. Had quite a few dogs as well, which literally showed up over night. Wind was cranking pretty good all day making it rough, and didnt hear of a crazy bite anywhere else so we worked the one piece and really had to grind them out. Had a really bad and weird current which had us sitting sideways all day even on 2 anchors. crappy day but the guys managed 22 keepers, and most of them were quality roasters so everyone had meat to go home with.

Sunday we had a lot of new faces with us. Headed to the spot from yesterday and had just a few keepers and a few shorts in a couple hours, and many more dogs. Decided to move to new grounds. Wanted to venture offshore a bit but the wind started to crank (came out of nowhere) so we went inshore. Hit one piece and had fish right from the start with a mix of keepers and shorts. Then it died. Had tons of toy tog. Worked the piece a little and then hit another. Had some of the same, and also a nice 18inch fluke!. Wind finally died down so we went where we wanted to go earlier and literally nothing. Had about half our limit at this point. So we knew we had to take a gamble, and literally flipped a coin to decide where to go. went to another spot and after a couple minutes on the piece it was game on. We were able to almost put our limit together, wiggling only once, ending up 1 shy and headed in when the fish stopped biting. Big fish went 9lbs 5oz and had a few others just under that. Really appreciate the hard work the guys and gal put in today and giving it a lot of overtime. Not many good pictures from today because it was dark when we came in.

we have a few spots open this saturday for blackfish so give us a call.
