sorry for the late report, jimmy, kevin, and i have been working all week to prepare jenny lee for a long winters nap.
capt's kevin and dave sailed an open boat trip on november 1-2
we had return anglers joey z, kamil,gary, and new comers gambler joe, six rod mike and cherry buster norm

we trolled from four hours to no avail but we needed to look around as we were in a whole new zip code from our last trip. we settled in the hendrickson canyon and it wasn't long before we gotour first bite. norm broke his tuna cherry and landed a beautiful fish. the night was very quiet for the entire fleet with the blue sharks stealing hooks and baits all night. we landed another yellowfin at midnight and a swordfish around 2am.
we made a move in the morning about a mile to some warmer water and landed our last fish of 2016 that kamil hooked and handed to gambler joe.
we were all disapointed that we didnt crush on our last adventure, but kevin and i had a blast and made some new friends.
it was a tough year on the tuna grounds, we cancelled many more trips than we sailed due to lack of tuna around. we are already rebooking and booking for 2017 and hoping for our usual great fishery here in new jersey.
