Default Keyport Seahawk - knuckle head, fluke and fails

The day started off ok as we got out super early and set up for seabass. shortly after setting up with a chum bag I battled another beastly nugget 21" that put up a hell of a fight...thought it was a small keeper striper or something. Shortly after that with a few more seabass, ling and porgy our bite died...we pull up the chum bag to move a bit and...well...it was gone

needless to say we couldn't get a bite going after that as we didn't really have a backup. since no sign of stripers out front on the surface and we didn't feel like trolling we headed over to fluke fish.

All i can say is....TRASH FISH BONANZA! and it got bad...after a couple of dogfish i get a big one next to the boat and i don't think i can swing it in so i go to grab it and it death rolls tangling my line around itself and yanking the tip of my rod down SNAP goes my favorite rod!...About 30 minutes latter Jimmy goes to swing yet another dog in the boat and his rod explodes in his face! Thankfully John was able to nab 2 keeper fluke cause everything else we caught was either the evil dog fish, skate, or short.

All in all caught a few fish but not much and the day was pretty much spoiled by some ROYAL failures!
