Default keyport seahawk - striper window

headed out for the first real trip for us, not counting the friday after work hour shakedown haha. 4 of us including John's daughter for her first ever striper fishing experience! First thing in the morning, John used his magic binocular eyes to spot some birds and we were instantly on the fish!

I immediately had to net a fish for John and then Yimmy, both nice mid 30 inch fish. Our first timer, Maddie, seemed a bit intimidated by the size of the fish dumped into the boat, but quickly overcame that and with a little help from her dad and Yimmy boated a couple of fish including a flawlessly fought hog.

Yimmy hauled the most fish, a mix of schoolies and nice low to high 30s inch fish.

I strapped on a big ol lure and hauled it out...first cast it got choked by an absolute PIG! First cast, big fish...i knew my day was done and i only ended up with one more schoolie after that HAHA Totally worth it though!

The big fat cow went back in the water.
4 low-mid 30s inch fish for the cooler.

Thats pretty much the summary of the day, but unfortunately all of this happened in about a 45-60 minute window first thing in the morning! after that, we could not get a touch for the rest of the day! NOTHING! we saw trolling working, but we tried to avoid that for the most part thinking the bite would turn back on, but oh well...the first hour made the day so it's all good!
